In a conversation with Pablo Itman, VP of Operations and Technology at Infocorp, we explored the world of Artificial Intelligence and how it is transforming the way we work. Pablo offers us, from his perspective and experience, a look at how AI has evolved in the last year.

Pablo, this year there has been a great boost in the field of artificial intelligence, what do you think has triggered this boom?

Without a doubt, it has been a turning point, and I think it is due to the explosion of tools and applications related to it, especially in the field of chatbots such as GPT. Although AI has been in development for years, right now it has been stepped on the accelerator and has been strongly driven.

Can you explain how AI has helped increase productivity?

Sure, AI has a direct impact on performance by accelerating processes. For example, when we develop a product, the testing tests are many and can take several days of delay, in order to be able to test and test it. This intelligent automation allows us to move faster and more efficiently in our daily tasks.

How do you see Infocorp's competence in the field of AI today?

In reality, competition in the world of AI is limited. Although there are many conversations and tests going on, there are few companies that are making significant progress. At Infocorp, we focus on our own path and collaborate with others to increase our progress. Although we have seen some initiatives, most of them are theoretical and based on research. The real product is still scarce.

What do you think is the main focus of most AI solutions on the market today?

I think that most AI solutions focus on improving the customer experience and optimizing time. For example, we are seeing advances in the generation of images from natural language, which speeds up the creation of visual content. For me, the value of AI is mainly focused on how much time it can save us.

What are your thoughts on regulating AI in the future?

It is essential. As this technology advances, we need regulations to ethically control and guide it. We are evolving very quickly with AI and that requires laws so that it doesn't get out of control.

How would you describe the approach of a company that works with artificial intelligence?

Every AI tool has a development process behind it. At Infocorp, we focus on using existing tools that adapt to our needs and context. In addition, we seek to personalize them to achieve our specific objectives, since AI is based on data and personalization is key.

You mentioned the importance of interconnection in the development of AI. How has this impacted work efficiency?

Interconnection has been crucial in our work. Previously, review tests could take 2 to 3 weeks, but with automation, this process has been reduced to just 2 or 3 days. In addition, tasks that used to take the infrastructure team a day and a half to complete are now performed instantly. In short, AI is changing the way we work and improving our efficiency to a great extent.

Thank you for sharing your ideas, Pablo. Do you have any final message about the role of AI in our future?

Ultimately, artificial intelligence is a powerful tool that accelerates and speeds up our processes. However, we must remember that there are intangible aspects, such as experience and experiences, that AI will never fully replace. Let's make the most of their potential, without forgetting the importance of our collaborators, who are the ones who make daily work possible with that human quality that characterizes us.
