The Uruguayan company Infocorp, whose headquarters are located in Punta Carretas and which implements software solutions for digital banking in Latin American and Caribbean markets, among other services, was acquired by the Canadian group Constellation Software, one of the largest in its country, with more than three trillion dollars of annual turnover.
Infocorp’s motto is “helping people love their bank” and the technology company focuses on the financial industry. “The Infocorp team has created something truly impressive and we look forward to supporting it in the future,” said the CEO of Aquila Software, a Constellation Software subsidiary. As they say, they were looking for a company with a strong management, experience and good results, a team of employees committed to the work and a company that is locally strong.
“Last year’s second semester we started looking for investment to continue growing as a company. Entering new markets and investing even more in our digital channels’ product for banking were the objectives with which we began to seek investment. In this context we met Constellation Software, a very solid Canadian group worldwide. The process began at the end of 2019 and ended a few weeks ago,” said Ana Inés Echavarren, Infocorp’s CEO, to Infonegocios. She did not reveal the purchase price.
“From the point of view of daily work there are no changes. I continue as Infocorp’s CEO and the rest of the team remains unchanged. There has been a change of shareholders, but not in the work team,” added Ana Inés. “For us, it is a privilege to be part of this globally recognized group and we are thankful for their bet on a Uruguayan company for its expansion.”
Ana Inés Echavarren has been the CEO of Infocorp for five years but has been working in the industry since 1993. She is the only female CEO in a technology company.
